Lithium iron phosphate battery
Lithium iron phosphate battery (LiFePO4 battery for short)
Lithium iron phosphate battery refers to a lithium-ion battery using lithium iron phosphate as the cathode material.
Improvement of safety performance
The P-O bond in lithium iron phosphate crystal is stable and difficult to decompose. Even at high temperature or overcharge, it will not collapse and heat like lithium cobalt oxide or form strong oxidizing substances, so it has good safety.
Good high temperature performance
The electrothermal peak of lithium iron phosphate can reach 350 ℃ - 500 ℃, while that of lithium manganate and lithium cobalt oxide is only about 200 ℃. The operating temperature range is wide (- 20C - + 75c) and has high temperature resistance. The peak value of lithium iron phosphate can reach 350 ℃ - 500 ℃, while lithium manganate and lithium cobalt oxide are only about 200 ℃.
--Charging ambient temperature: − 10 ℃ ~ 55 ℃;
--Discharge ambient temperature: − 20 ℃ ~ 60 ℃.
high-capacity
It has a larger capacity than ordinary batteries (lead-acid, etc.). 5ah-1000ah (monomer)
Deep cycle
The cycle life of long-life lead-acid battery is about 300 times, up to 500 times, while the cycle life of lithium iron phosphate power battery can reach more than 2000 times, and the standard charging (5-hour rate) can reach 2000 times.
Light weight
The volume of lithium iron phosphate battery with the same specification and capacity is 2 / 3 of the volume of lead-acid battery and 1 / 3 of the weight of lead-acid battery.
No memory effect
Rechargeable batteries often work under the condition of full charge, and the capacity will quickly fall below the rated capacity. This phenomenon is called memory effect. For example, Ni MH and Ni Cd batteries have memory, while lithium iron phosphate batteries do not. No matter what state the battery is in, it can be used as soon as it is charged, and there is no need to discharge it before charging.
Environment protection
The battery is generally considered to be free of any heavy metals and rare metals (rare metals are required for Ni MH batteries), non-toxic (SGS certified), pollution-free, in line with European ROHS regulations, and is an absolute green battery certificate. Therefore, the reason why lithium batteries are favored by the industry is mainly due to environmental protection considerations.
Because lithium iron phosphate power battery has the above characteristics, and produces various batteries with different capacities, it has been widely used soon. Its main application fields include:
Large electric vehicles: buses, electric vehicles, sightseeing buses and hybrid vehicles;
Light electric vehicles: electric bicycles, golf carts, small flat battery vehicles, forklifts, cleaning vehicles, electric wheelchairs, etc;
Electric tools: electric drill, electric saw, lawn mower, etc;
Energy storage equipment for solar and wind power generation;
UPS, emergency light, warning light and miner's lamp (with the best safety);
Small medical instruments and portable instruments, etc.
